Our Staff

Pastor Danny is the former high school principal and assistant superintendent of North Raleigh Christian Academy.  He retired in June of 2022 after 45 years in Christian education. He has a B.A. in history and a M.Ed. from Campbell University. In 2022, Pastor Danny received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Campbell University. After retiring, Pastor Danny and his wife, Karen, both enrolled in the Online Certificate Program at Truett Seminary at Baylor University.  Pastor Danny has served as a supply pastor at churches in the area. 
His hobbies are traveling, working at the family farm, biblical archaeology, historical preservation and reading American and European history.  The Watkins have a daughter, Danielle and her husband Vincent Agrusa.

A native of Raleigh, Laura and her family have been long time members of Samaria Baptist Church. After serving over 19 years at BellSouth in the communication field, Laura joins our office and feels that this role is a continuation of her ministry to our congregation. She has one son, Bryan and daughter in law, Holly and 2 grandchildren, Mary Alice and Jack. She adores her "rescued "Lily." The offices are blessed to have her oversee the daily administrative aspects of our office.
